Nokia Plugs EDA Into Lenovo for AI Management
In a move that spotlights a trending focus on unifying management of networking, compute, and storage in AI clusters, Nokia announced an integration deal with Lenovo that will allow customers to manage Lenovo’s AI servers (the high-end ThinkSystem series) with Nokia’s recently announced datacenter management system, Event-Driven Automation (EDA).
Nokia’s EDA is billed as a comprehensive management platform that incorporates Nokia datacenter networking gear as well as servers and storage from other vendors, in this instance Lenovo. Its capabilities include digital twinning, intent-based networking, and observability. And EDA is based on Kubernetes, improving performance and making it easier to customize.
