Aryaka Networks has announced a major upgrade of its unified secure access service edge (SASE) and network-as-a-service (NaaS) platform. The new winter release of the platform includes the addition of powerful AI-powered data observability and security services as well as the capability to add worldwide dynamic points-of-presence (PoPs).

With the addition of Aryaka’s new AI>Observe, powered by Aryaka's partner Sequretek, Aryaka's worldwide NaaS and SASE services now include advanced threat detection, prevention, and analytics.

Aryaka has been steadily adding SASE and other security features to its NaaS. For example, the last upgrade included the addition of CASB functionality. The new release puts Aryaka in the rare category of global NaaS providers with a wide range of SASE as well as AI data observability and security services.

The March to $1 Billion in Revenue

The release shows that Aryaka is ahead of the curve in thinking about how global enterprises secure their data on a network spanning multiple types of connections, including cloud onramps. Aryaka is one of the few SASE providers that also operates its own physical network, which has become crucially important in light of the recent Salt Typhoon hacks on global service providers.

By operating its own physical network with a full suite of SASE features, Aryaka can ensure that customers have full control and visibility of the connections linking all of their applications and services.

The upgrade also shows depth in the Aryaka CEO Shailesh Shukla’s strategy to expand the range of services across the network and security services stack. Shukla, a former Google GM who took over as CEO in early 2024, said his company’s target is $1 billion in annual revenue.

“With the winter ’25 update, Aryaka has continued to prioritize AI in our Unified SASE as a Service,” said Shukla in the company’s statement.

Coincidentally, the announcement comes the same day that Futuriom included Aryaka in its list of the 50 most exciting private companies in cloud and communications infrastructure—the Futuriom 50. Aryaka has raised almost $200 million in funding but says it won't need to raise any more money because it is self sufficient. It is on the path to profitability and a potential IPO.

Network in a PoP

We've spoken to several customers who emphasized the desire to integrate security and networking. In most cases, this is done through major service providers partnering with SASE providers, or through cloud-based SASE offerings that leverage partner connectivity.

Customers can also take advantage of the integration with Aryaka AI>Observe and Sequretek’s offering of a 24/7 managed security operations center (SOC) for monitoring, detection, and remediation services, as well as security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) integration.

As noted, Aryaka is one of the few providers that operates its own physical network as as well as SASE portfolio. Aryaka SASE and AI>Observe features are available to any customer using any of Aryaka’s network of more than 40 worldwide PoPs. Another key feature of the winter release is the addition of dynamic PoP capabilities, which enable customers to spin up virtual PoPs at cloud access points in Google Cloud or Amazon Web Services.

Futuriom Take: Aryaka continues to distinguish itself as a unique independent global NaaS provider with fully managed security services. AI>Observe is a unique product that will draw customers considering integrated managed network and security services.
